LOGISTICS & MATERIALS
Piano Lessons are currently held in local church and school facilities in Manhattan, KS (exact location will be revealed after contact). All the lesson pianos are good condition acoustic pianos and all the lesson spaces are safe and accessible with parking nearby.
It is also possible to hold lessons at the student's house, depending on the location of the home, condition of the piano, and other factors. An extra $10/month travel fee is charged for this service. |
Lesson times & days will be determined at the beginning of each semester, though I understand things come up and times or days have to change. We will communicate through email or text.
Though the common lesson is once per week, I am open to meeting twice a week as well, if the necessary practice time can be put in and accelerated advancement is desired. |
In lessons we will use a variety of method books, "Urtext" edition & public domain sheet music, digital applications, recordings, videos, and many other external materials.
The only materials you are expected to purchase are the method books and some sheet music, but I will make sure these expenses remain within a moderate perimeter. On top of this, I like to work with lesson sheets for each lesson's notes, for which a three-ring binder is very helpful. |
Payments are collected at the first lesson of each month for that month's lessons. Leftover payments at the end of the month due to missed lessons (excused) carry over into the next month. A more detailed payment policy can be found on the contract.
Forms of payment include cash, checks, paypal, or venmo. Lesson prices can be found in the above section "What do lessons cost & entail?". |
